Este álbum se caracteriza por su éstilo de Death Metal Progresivo. Además, el vocalista Chuck Schuldiner posee un estilo diferente al cantar puesto que la voz se considera más aguda y desgarradora.

"Spirit Crusher" fue el único single lanzado, también se lanzó un video en vivo de éste.
